Happy Halloween Part Dos (2)

While she may be a witch tonight, we took the costume for school in a completely different direction:

"Hola, I'm Dora the Explorer"

Happy Halloween!

I guess it only makes sense that a girl that dresses like a princess every single day, would want to be a witch for Halloween. After all, isn't Halloween about being someone you are not - this must be her alter ego.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a fabulous pumpkin patch in Marble Falls yesterday. It was so much fun, although a little too warm. Here are a few pics from the day.

Clarification

Some of you have asked who is this "Max and Louise" we are talking about in the video. Max & Ruby is currently Liv's favorite tv show. The characters are Ruby, her little brother Max, and her best friend Louise. We often pretend that I am Ruby, Liv is Louise, and Sean is Max. Those ended up being the stars of the birthday party but it was just too much to try to explain in the prior post, until I realized that it might be a little confusing to you guys. Sorry about that.

For your viewing pleasure...

As promised here are some videos from the birthday party for no one.

This is Liv's (and Sean's) version of Swan Lake:

And her Elvis impersonation (singing All Shook Up, in case you can't figure it out):

Just another day in the life of Liv.

Every day is an adventure in our little world.

Here is Liv fishing for trout in a swimming pool at the Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo. She could not understand why she was not supposed to cast the fishing pole.

Last week, she learned about community helpers at school, which included firefighters. She was to dress up as her favorite helper on Friday, and just had to be a firefighter. Unwilling to invest in a costume for the occasion, I fashioned one myself using orange duct tape. I am fully aware that she looks more like a crossing guard than a firefighter.

The firefighter costume took a new twist later that afternoon.

Even breakfast is a chance to put on a fancy dress and shoes (and tiara, of course).

Of course, a clothing change is required for the afternoon. (The tutu with no pants is very special.)

And then, there is the party. We had a birthday party one night last week. Who's birthday? No one in particular. We had decorations, presents, balloons (cut out of construction paper), cake (wood chips she brought home from school in her pockets), fancy party dress, high heels, party hats, and pin the tail on the bunny.

I have some great video of the party, but it will not upload. I will keep trying because it is definitely worth seeing Liv and Sean do ballet. Until then, remember that every day you should feel like a princess.
