Every day is an adventure in our little world.
Here is Liv fishing for trout in a swimming pool at the Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo. She could not understand why she was not supposed to cast the fishing pole.
Last week, she learned about community helpers at school, which included firefighters. She was to dress up as her favorite helper on Friday, and just had to be a firefighter. Unwilling to invest in a costume for the occasion, I fashioned one myself using orange duct tape. I am fully aware that she looks more like a crossing guard than a firefighter.
The firefighter costume took a new twist later that afternoon.
Even breakfast is a chance to put on a fancy dress and shoes (and tiara, of course).
Of course, a clothing change is required for the afternoon. (The tutu with no pants is very special.)

And then, there is the party. We had a birthday party one night last week. Who's birthday? No one in particular. We had decorations, presents, balloons (cut out of construction paper), cake (wood chips she brought home from school in her pockets), fancy party dress, high heels, party hats, and pin the tail on the bunny.

I have some great video of the party, but it will not upload. I will keep trying because it is definitely worth seeing Liv and Sean do ballet. Until then, remember that every day you should feel like a princess.

I'm laughing so hard it hurts and I'm in real danger of waking the other members of the household if I can't get hold of myself! I soooooo want to come have breakfast with Liv - I'll bring my own tiara!! (And if we're having so much fun that I'm still around for the wardrobe change that afternoon, I promise to wear pants with my tutu!)
I just flat-out love her!!
Liv always manages to crack me up. Where is the video, Rhonda?
