1. The depth of love for your baby is never ending. You would do anything for her and kill anyone who hurts her.
2. A smile from her will melt your heart every time, no matter how tired or frustrated you are.
3. Patience is a virtue. If you didn’t have it before birth, you don't automatically get it in the delivery room.
4. Public humiliation is a thing of the past. You will find yourself doing things in public that at one time would have embarrassed the heck out of you. Examples: squeezing your boobs to see if it is getting time for her to eat, sniffing her butt to see if she has pooped, baby talk, wearing a patch of dried spit-up on your shoulder . . .(you get the idea).
5. Showers are a luxury, not a daily requirement.
6. After a week, everyone forgets the sacrifices your body made during delivery – you and your body don’t forget (or forgive) for long after that.
7. You lose your butt, literally.
8. You can get the same amount of sleep (8 or 12 hours), but if it is not consecutive and not at night, you will still be tired.
9. Swings are the greatest inventions ever, and if that is the only place she will sleep, you will leave her swinging all night long.
10. Boobs are not toys.
