Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you're not really losing it. You're just passing it on to someone else.

How appropriate that today this was the quote in our daily newsletter. Today was the day that we gave Liv’s bottles away to the baby cows. She has become quite dependant on the comfort of her bottles, and we knew it was way past time to get rid of them. In an effort to make the transition a little easier, we explained to her that there were baby cows (she loves cows) who needed her bottles. This morning, she put all of her bottles into a box and helped me wrap it up for the baby cows. She got to pick out the wrapping paper and ribbon.

That was a great idea! Kristi got rid of Carter's pacifiers last Christmas by wrapping them and leaving them for Santa to give to babies that needed them!! ~ Kelly
good luck tonight! Stand strong she will kick the habit!
I like the baby cows story!
awww, that is the prettiest piece of trash I've ever seen - i bet the garbage man is all impressed!
That is a great story! Hope things went well... oh and she is just getting cuter and cuter every day!!!! :)
What a sweet way to get rid of them!!
We stopped the bottle last Friday. It was time. Mine, too, was becoming too attached. We didn't do anything as neat as giving them to baby cows, we just don't get them out and play dumb.
