Happy 1st Birthday Pooter!!!

One year ago today, our lives changed forever. You, my little Pooter, were born. In just one short year, you have taught me so many things. You taught me that I have a capacity for love that I never imagined. You have taught me that I can actually have patience when I must. I have learned that there is no greater pain than seeing your child in pain.

Olivia, you are the light of my life. Your smile warms my heart. Your hugs and kisses make it melt. Audrey and Stanley didn't know what to think of you at first, but they have each come to love you in their own way. (Audrey a little less than Stanley.) Your daddy has proven to be a better father than I could have ever imagined. I love to watch him to turn to mush when he is with you.

The first year of your life has passed so quickly. I try to savor every moment because you grow and change in the blink of an eye. You will continue to grow and learn, and I can’t wait to watch every minute of it.

Happy Birthday, Olivia. I love you.

Here is a look at the year in pictures:

Happy birthday Olivia! You are such an adorable girl! :)

I remember a year ago reading your blog entry about how you were in labor and headed for the hospital! I didn't even know you and yet I was so excited for you (it helped that I was 5 months pregnant myself)! Congrats on surviving your first year of motherhood! :)

She didn't look like a scrunchy-red newborn at all! She looked just the same as now, just smaller. Beautiful girl, sweet mama.
Happy Birthday, Liv!
