But my true "worst mother" moment came on Friday afternoon. I took the day off for a couple of doctor's appointments. Then Friday afternoon, Liv and I went shopping. Keep in mind it was freezing outside. I put Liv in her carseat, got out of the car, shut the door, tried to open the driver's door, but it was LOCKED. That's right, I locked her in the car. I locked myself out of the car. Luckily, I wasn't too far from home, and Sean was able to get there with the extra key in a few minutes. Liv was quite mad at me after that.
Please don't call CPS.

When I was 8 mo. pg w/ Lulu I locked the boys in the running car during that super heatwave in Sept.
at Walmart. My hubs had put a key box under the back bumper so I had to wriggle under the back of the car in all my about-to-give-birth glory to find it. FOUR different cars stopped while I was down there on the ground asking if I needed help. So.very.embarrassing.
We've all done it. I locked BOTH of mine in the car when it was raining, cold, and just nasty. Luckly fumble was old enough to unlock it. After some prodding.
LOL... almost all Moms have locked their kid in the car. Every time I hear of one more I think back to my best bud "S". I really think I may need to blog about that some time. She had people wanting to break her window, the firemen were there, cops were there, she had a Mexican lady on her knees praying in Spanish at the top of her lungs behind the car.....
Southern California for ya. ;)
I haven't locked Payton in yet, but I think about it all the time.
My neice does the same thing with pulling food out of her mouth. She'll take a bite and chew for a second, then decide that she wants a drink of milk so she'll stick her hand in her mouth and scrape everything off her tongue and onto the tray.
Don't feel bad...my best friend locked her twins in the car when they were infants! Now I've heard...don't know if it works...that you can call "hubs" and if he has a keyless entry clicker he can hold it up to the phone and click unlock and it will work! Who knows... ~ Kelly
We have all done it...when my son was 3 & daughter was 6 months- I locked them in the car - my sweet little son flipped out...I was lmao...I am great mom huh ? I love my keyless entry on my van...so very worth it. Your daughter is a cutie- HANDS DOWN...lol
I've locked my kids in the car one time too! The only problem was, after all my freaking out about it, my oldest child was big enough to just pull the lock and unlock it for me! LOL. Nice.
Hey, you didn't do it on purpose, nor leave her there. No "Aw, Sh*t" points for you. So the real question is have you used duct tape to keep them from removing thier diaper? (not that I would ever do someting like that! Oh, no! Not me.)
Glad that the man was able to come and get Liv out. Man that stinks but sounds like it is pretty common.
I love hher in that high chair...
Dude...I used to trap Peanut's arms under the tray so she couldn't smack at the spoon or stuff her fingers into her mouth. Of course now she's older and can figure out to pull her arms up, but I'm seriously considering your method...
