An improvement, no?
Well, we slept four hours last night. That's an improvement, I suppose. I must say, I was expecting more. She fell asleep at 10:00, and I was hopeful for a good 3-4 hours. She awoke at 11:30, however, and was awake until 2:00. I swaddled her up tighter than a Freebird's burrito, and it seem to work until she broke loose around 4:00 a.m. It is now a quarter til 6:00, and the eyes are wide open. She has been in her swing for about 30 minutes, which would usually knock her out. It is dark in the room, so when she is quiet for a few minutes, I sneak over to see if she is asleep and see these big ol' eyes looking back at me. What is she doing? She keeps spitting her pacifier out. It's a trick to get that back in her mouth in the dark with the swing going full speed. I am pretty sure I tried to stick it in her eye at one point. Ohhh, I just saw her head flop over....could it be true? Crap, just as she was drifting off, the pacifier fell out and woke her up. Would it be wrong to use Duct Tape to keep it in her mouth? (I know the answer to that one.) I think they should make Tylenol PM for babies. Now I am hearing the wimpering puppy sounds, which is a sure sign of sleep. (Liv is a very noisy sleeper.) Gotta go catch some rest while I can.
