Lord help us!

It's the moment of truth. Granny Bear has left us after two weeks, and it is time to see if Sean and I can handle this parenting thing. It was really nice to have a third set of hands around the house. I could shower daily, take naps, run to the store, get my hair cut, etc. Sean has been playing golf frequently. I think maybe we were a little spoiled. Stay tuned to see how it goes.

As further update, Olivia had her 2-week doctor's appointment on Wednesday, and all was well. She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. This is actually a 13 oz. weight gain in one week because she had dropped to 7 lbs. after week one. She was 20 inches long, which was a 1-inch growth. She went from 21 inches to 19 inches after birth because apparently her cone head was 3 inches! I can totally believe it because that was the first thing I saw when she came out--a GIANT head.

We can definitely tell that she is growing. The little Longhorn outfit she worn home from the hospital barely fits anymore. She is still petite, however, so very few of her adorable outfits fit yet. I can't wait until I can actually dress her up in some of the cute clothes everyone has bought for her.

Liv has been a really good baby. She rarely cries. However, it seems that she is a bit of a night owl. She likes to stay up until midnight or later, and it somewhat fussy during those hours. The upside is that she wears herself out and sleeps through most of the night--waking every three hours only long enough to eat.

She is anxiously awaiting a visit from her cousins (Brooke, 7, and Brenna, 2) on Wednesday. Her aunts Faye and June are coming too. On Saturday, we are expecting Grumpa Tom and Bunny, who are going to visit for a few days. We are looking forward to seeing everyone.
