(Don't you just love that dog?) I found the greatest bargain of all time today, and it was on something I was actually looking for. (Usually, I find a good deal, it is on something I don't really need, but buy anyway because it is such a good deal.) I went to Target looking for a baby sling/hip hammock. Due to increasingly severe carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, I am unable to carry Liv for very long without pain. As I went down the aisle where the baby carriers were located, I did not find anything but front carriers. (I have a Baby Bjorn, but it is such a pain to get her in and out of, and it is really not very comfortable for me.)
Defeated, I turned the corner and just happened to look at the end of the aisle. Us Target whores know that the ends of the aisles are where all the clearance merchandise is located. Lo and behold, there was one of these:
It is a Premaxx New Edition Sling Carrier--regular price $49.99. So how much do you think I paid for it? $12.98!!!!!! The box was in really bad condition, but it was such a steal, I just had to get it. I figured that even if it was a return, since it is fabric, I can just wash it. All the tags were intact, so I don't think it was used. The shopping gods were smiling on me today.
(Well, until I tried to look at shoes at Last Call. One thing my daughter got from her father is his hatred for shoe stores. She never cries in stores, UNLESS it is a shoe store. If she hadn't caused me so much pain during delivery, I would wonder if she was really mine.)

What a great deal! I bought the playtex hip hammock when we were flying out of state and I loved it. So did my son. He could just lay his head on my shoulder when he got tired. I've only used it once since when I was doing some stuff outside. But I think they are worth it. Especially if you only pay $13!

I am so jealous! As a SAHD for two years I spent a LOT of time with a baby sling. I loved it but this has POCKETS!!!! Why couldn't I have found this before my youngest was too big? Why, Oh why, I ask you!?!?!!
